This post was first published on the Parliamentary Digital Service blog
Over the past six months on the PDS blog we've been guest blogging about what Hansard is and what it isn’t.
The idea was to demystify Hansard for those who have a general interest in Parliament and what we do here, and for those who might be interested in coming to work for us as Parliamentary reporters.
Some of our more recent joiners have written about their experience of becoming a Parliamentary reporter, sharing what they learned on our postgraduate diploma (accredited by City, University of London) and on the job.
We’re looking to recruit five more people with the potential to train as Parliamentary reporters.
Applications are now open so if you have a love of the English language and are interested in Parliament and politics, then this could be the job for you. You should also:
- have a degree or experience in a relevant field
- be able to find your way around Microsoft Office
- type reasonably quickly
The deadline for applications has now closed. You can find out more about working in Hansard on the parliament.uk website.
If you use Hansard, please let us know what matters to you. Click here to take a brief survey and for a chance to meet the Hansard team.
