Hansard: Past to Present

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Analytics, Events, History of Hansard, Outreach

Hansard editors Portia Dadley and Ian Oakhill are giving a talk on 6 November 2019 as part of Parliament Week.

They will be making comparisons and contrasts between Hansard in the second world war and Hansard today, sharing some exciting material that has recently been donated to the Parliamentary Archives, including a shorthand notebook recording the declaration of war on 3 September 1939. They will bring the story up to date with data analytics, looking at how people use Hansard today to engage with Parliament.

The talk is free, but you need to reserve a place.
